Tessvyn Ngan

President & Founder

Tessvyn Ngan is a famed food critic, a highly passionate and seasoned marketing leader with rich experience of more than 18 years in the food and beverage industry in South East Asia. She has proven ability to quickly analyze new markets, competition, strengths/weaknesses, and stages of development to grow and deliver maximum revenue, and also has vast experiences in retail management, accounting, branding, and advertising. Over the years she has developed reputation of setting up award winning establishments with track records. In 2011, she founded Bake & Take Bakery in Shanghai, China and expanded the business into 2 other branches within two short years. It quickly became highly popular and won numerous awards from best cup cake, best wedding dessert cake to best services at the same time. In 2015, she was invited to set-up the award-winning establishment, Sabor Restaurant, Shanghai, China, which was awarded Michelin 2-star award the following year.

Her innovative problem-solving abilities, and an effective leadership style leading her to effective relationships with people of all levels, including C-levels executives of multinational organizations has built her a strong reputation in the international F&B industry. With years of experience gained abroad, she wishes to bring home her invaluable experiences, skill sets, knowledge, and intercultural abilities to help create a world-class bakery experience in Malaysia. Master Bakery Academy, founded in May 2018, by her and together with two other partners, Chef Lim and Chef Lin with the aim to provide dedicated education to the arts of baking, cake, and bread pastry and encourage more pastry aficionados to raise the level of culinary pastry arts.
